Antline 3157, 7443, 1157 and 1156 LED bulbs
Brake, tail, reverse and rear turn lights use a handful of bases: 3157, 7443, 1157 and 1156. Antline makes each of them in bright white, amber and red, from 1000 to 1260 lumens per bulb.

Choosing a 3157 LED bulb
The 3157 is the most common rear bulb in North American cars and trucks: a dual-filament wedge that runs the tail light and the brake light from the same socket. A 3157 LED bulb should match the colour of the lens — red for red brake and tail lenses, amber for amber turn signals, white for clear reverse lenses — and have enough lumens to be seen in daylight. Antline 3157 bulbs reach 1200 to 1260 lumens with 21 or 24 high-power 2835 chips.
Bulbs with a projection lens throw light forward like a halogen filament; 360° bulbs spread light into the whole reflector. For reverse lights, the lensed 21-chip bulb is usually the brightest; for wide tail lights, a 360° bulb fills the housing more evenly.
7443, 1157 and 1156
- 7443 / 7440: T20 wedge, common on Japanese and Korean cars; 7443 has two filaments, 7440 one.
- 1157 / BAY15D: dual-filament bayonet with offset pins, common on older cars, trailers and motorcycles.
- 1156 / BA15S: single-filament bayonet for reverse and turn lights, and RV interiors.
All are rated 12–24V, so they fit cars, pickups and many trucks.
Brake & Tail: questions
Do I need a resistor?
For brake, tail and reverse lights, no. For turn signals, usually yes, to avoid hyper flash.
What's the difference between 3157 and 3156?
3157 is dual filament (tail + brake), 3156 single. Our 3157 bulbs fit both sockets.
Are they street legal?
Use the colour your lens and local rules require: red for brake/tail, amber or red for rear turn, white for reverse.
